ELEPHANTS PLEASE STAY IN YOUR CAR *

Seen during a London conference: *
FOR ANYONE WHO HAS CHILDREN AND DOESN'T KNOW IT, THERE IS A DAY CARE ON THE 1ST FLOOR*

People in other countries sometimes go out of their way to communicate with their English-speaking tourists. Here is a list of signs seen around the world :

At a Budapest zoo: *
PLEASE DO NOT FEED THE ANIMALS. IF YOU HAVE ANY SUITABLE FOOD, GIVE IT TO THE GUARD ON DUTY.*

Doctors office, Rome : *
SPECIALIST IN WOMEN AND OTHER DISEASES*.

Hotel, Acapulco : *
THE MANAGER HAS PERSONALLY PASSED ALL THE WATER SERVED HERE. *

In a Nairobi restaurant: *

But the lions can get out if they want to. :P It might be an urban myth (and I sincerely hope it is!) but there's supposed to be a sign in a Czech zoo saying "No smoothen the lion". And if it's true and it means what I think it does, that sign may as well say "Do not visit this zoo". I don't want to be anywhere near any zoo where it's possible to smoothen a lion.

Hopefully, it means something completely different but if so, they really need to look into professional translation companies to handle their signs.
